Bay Vs Sittingbourne

Herne Bay U14’s travelled to Sittingbourne FC for the first away fixture of the season. This is the first time the two sides have faced each other and it proved to be an interesting fixture.

Bay were looking to continue there good form after beating Faversham last time out. Bay came out of the blocks flying trying control possession and create chances. It didn’t take long for Bay to get on the score sheet with Devon Mason finding space between the Left Back and the central defender time and time again. He soon open the scoring and grabbing his second before Matas Kabelis played a cross field pass that split open the defence for Devon Mason to get in beyond the defence to complete his hat trick within 7 minutes. Bay looked comfortable at the back and created more chances but just could find the back of the net. With the best chance falling to James Williams, who hit a fierce strike that rebounded of the woodwork.

The 2nd half started with Bay leading 3 - 0. Sittingbourne stepped up there effort and started causing a few problems for Bay. Bay were unable to continue playing there flowing football but continued to defend well and with 10 minutes to go managed to start a fast flowing passing move. Which resulted in Woody Ebrill crossing for James Williams to score from close range to make it 4 - 0.

Bay face Hollands and Blair next time out at the High School from 10.30.
