After beating local rivals Margate 2-0 in Tuesday's fixture, Herne Bay were looking to produce another winning performance away to Cray Valley.

But Saturday's game didn't deliver the goods for The Bay.

Cray Valley would score three goals, with a penalty in the 24th minute and the next two goals coming in the second half, in the 59th and 65th minutes.

Herne Bay had chances throughout the game but were unable to make them count, with this being their first goal-less match since the 12th September, ending a three-game goal-scoring streak.

Their attention now turns to their game away to Sheppey United in the Velocity Cup 2 on Tuesday 29th September, with a 7:45pm kick-off.
