Herne Bay continued their run of defeats despite matching their opponents in this rescheduled fixture at Winch's Field. A mostly uneventful first half gave way to an action packed second 45 with former Chatham Town striker putting Wanderers ahead in the opening minute of the second period. Jack Delo saved Medley's first effort but he tucked the rebound away. Stung into action, Bay poured forward but lost Kane Phillip to a second yellow card just before the hour mark. The reduction to 10 men seemed not to phase the home side and they enjoyed their best period of the match from then on with the visitors defending their slender lead in depth unable to make their numerical advantage count. Walder and Williams both went close but Bay were unable to salvage the point.
Herne Bay manager Sam Denly told the KM, "It was another good performance against a top seven side, and a game we shouldn't have lost, and sums up our season".
