A week on from playing away to promoted Punjab United, Herne Bay FC welcome another newly promoted side in Peacehaven & Telscombe to The AL Scaffolding Stadium for the first match between the two sides this season.
Herne Bay
The Bay’s past six fixtures have provided a majority of good results for the club, with only one loss being a 2-1 loss against Punjab United.
In this run of games, Herne Bay have recorded three wins, two draws and the already mentioned loss.
Across these games, they’ve scored 13 goals and only conceded six.
The best result from these was last time out, when Herne Bay won 5-0 against Sevenoaks Town on Tuesday 3 November.
Ade Azeez continued his fine goal scoring form on Tuesday, where he scored a brace and brought his total so far up to six goals in five games.
New signing Eitel Goueth made his first start for the club on Tuesday and put in a good debut performance after singing on Monday.
Herne Bay’s injury list has gotten smaller, with Harrison Hatfull and Jerry Puemo both starting against Sevenoaks.
Joe Taylor, Sonny Black, and Lewis Gard are still out with injury, with Jacob Lambert having been ruled out for the season.
The boys will be looking to put in another strong performance to aid their playoff push and will be wanting to do it in front of another strong crowd so make sure you come on down this Saturday to support the team.
The Opponents
Peacehaven & Telscombe FC were promoted to the Isthmian League South East from the Southern Combination League Premier Division, where they finished fifth and won playoffs.
They’ve had a mixed start to life in the league, with four wins and four draws, but seven losses.
They currently sit in 18th in the table on with 16 points.
Their previous result was a two-all draw against Crowborough Athletic at home, but they’ll be hoping to pick up some more points against Herne Bay in their push to get away from the relegation zone.
