Broadfields United play in The Combined Counties Premier League North Division (Step 5) and face a 101 mile trip to WInch's Field. They reached the playoffs for promotion to Step 4 last season, losing 0-2 against Windson & Eton in the FInal.

They have already started their league season and have won one (Kiddlington 3-1) and drew one (Rayners Lane 0-0) of their two games. This will be Herne Bay's first competitive game after an impressive pre-season.

Herne Bay manager, Ben Smith, has registered a squad of 26 players, with 11 of then under 23 years old. One of these players is awaiting International Clearance, so unlikely to feature in his match.
