We started well and was on top from the start keeping the ball well and playing out from the back which was hard to do on a bobbly grass pitch. After moving the ball along the back line Charlie H put a nice diagonal ball over the top from right to left for Harry R to run onto and then lay the ball of to our left back Jude S in the box to finish to make it 1-0 . We then had control for the rest of the half and put some dangerous ball across the box but just could not get the finishing touch. Just before half time we over played at the back and got caught out for a phoenix player to latch on to a loose ball and finish from the edge of the box to make it 1-1 at half time. We start the 2nd half well and went a bit more direct and got our reward with a ball out to our left which was flicked on by Jude S to Sam C who pushed the ball though on goals for Harry R to nip in and take the glory to make it 2-1 on 57min. Then had a number of chances to make it 3 but just did not have the finishing touch and even had a shot hit our own player on the line to stop us making it 3. But we were able to make it 3 eventually with Luca M going through on goal to finish well. Phoenix grabbed a late goal with a few minutes left to make it a nervous ending.
Over all a good performance and 3 points on the board.
