Today we travelled out to Ashford for an unusually late kick off.
Off the back of a win against Kennington in the cup last week the boys started the game full of confidence.
Creating chance after chance narrowly missing the target on several occasions and being denied by their big keeper, we looked in full control of the game keeping the ball much better.
Despite the possession and chances, Ashford scored first, a cross catching the wind and looping into the far corner. 1 shot 1 goal for them.
Despite going a goal behind the boys continued working hard and were rewarded just before half time. The prolific Juliani who had come close serval times earlier, beat his man on the edge of the box before finding the bottom corner from 10 yards out.
Half time
The 2nd half saw Ashford come out stronger dominating possession, however the defence and midfield worked hard not allowing Ashford any chances.
Half way through the 2nd half Owen burst forward getting in behind the Ashford midfield from left back, before finding Jack Heaton now operating behind the strikers, who slipped a great ball through to Zac. Zac cut in on his right before steering the ball up and over the keeper and into the top far corner 1-2.
This seemed to knock Ashfords confidence as the boys just kept possession running the clock down. With only a few minutes left to play big Charlie Keyte converted with his head from a corner 1-3 game done.
A comfortable win, Minster next ??
