Dominating 2nd half display earns three points.

The u15s rousing 2nd half performance, showing both their physical and technical qualities was enough to clinch all 3 points at home to Hastings. With several players out injured or isolating, the team found themselves going 1-0 down with Hastings having the upper hand early on. However, a Vinnie Bowman free-kick was parried by their keeper and Mason Bristow was the first to react to make it 1-1. The team couldn’t control the game and some poor defending gave Hastings a deserved 2-1 lead at HT.

The 2nd half was very different. Herne Bay playing with much more fire in their bellies took control of the natch. Jamie Lartice made it 2-2 with a fine 20 yard shot and it was Lartice again, this time from 25 yards to make it 3-2. Jamie then completed his hat-trick with a calm finish with just the keeper to beat. Vinnie Bowman made it 5-2 with 10 minutes to go to give the team a good win and confidence boost with 10 games remaining. 22/30 points is a decent return at the halfway point of the season.

Eben Butler was asked to play in a central midfield position and played exceptionally well to get him the MOTM accolade.
