The u15s had the long journey to Tunbridge Wells in the 2nd round of the Kent League Cup.
An even 1st half saw Tunbridge score from a corner and although Herne Bay came close to equalising, found themselves trailing at half-time. The 2nd half saw the u15s turning up the pressure and Bodie Mason's fine effort from 25 yards saw the game finish 1-1 and go into extra time. With the dreaded penalties only seconds away, Baileigh Bellem’s fine turn and explosive finish saw the Bay heading into round 3. A gutsy, determined game from all 13 players making the trip, great support from the travelling parents and an outstanding game in the Bay’s back 3 earned Jack Vas the Man Of The Match accolade.
Well Done to All.
Phoenix Sports are the opposition in the next round.
