u15s v Maidstone - Kent County Cup 3-6 AET.
The u15s played a strong Maidstone United in the County Cup and soon saw themselves 2-0 down with defensive errors. But a superb team goal involving 4 players led to Vinnie Bowman finishing the move with aplomb. HT 1-2.
The 2nd half saw Herne Bay take control and Jamie Lartice shot from 40 yards into an empty net vacated by the sweeper/keeper before Kodie Mason put Herne 3-2 up with 15 minutes remaining. Maidstone levelled to take the game into extra-time despite what looked like the winner from a Baileigh Bellem fine finish being ruled offside.
Maidstone broke the deadlock in the 2nd period of extra time and with the u15s pushing for an equaliser Maidstone sealed the tie with 2 further goals. A magnificent performance from the u15s and we wish Maidstone the best in their next round
