SECWFL Spring Series
at The Baypoint Leisure Centre

Ellie Turner turned on the style, thumping four of the fourteen past a physical Baypoint in their first macth back after the enforced lockdown. This was a match between two sides that were not, in all honesty, well matched. There were hat-tricks too for the vastly experienced former Arsenal Women player Effie Dodds, showing the developing youngsters how it's done, and for Jasmin West, who might have shown enough in this non contest to earn another chance in the first team. Quite how Ylisha Bubb didn't get on the scorecard is a mystery, if not a tragedy, given the chances she had, but on another day they will fly in from her. Good news for skipper Katie Reeves as well as she rounded the scoring off with three minutes to go with a cleverly flighted chip over the 'keeper.

"It was a dominating performance", said manager Mark Bunt, "and we know we can't get carried away as there will be harder matches to come, but for today we'll just enjoy those 90 minutes a little longer".
