ABOUT BEN
Ben Smith first took charge of Herne Bay around 201B-2019, guiding the Kent club through a period of rebuilding and progress. During his tenure, he worked closely with the development of players such as Dan Carrington, looking to help them fulfil their potential and re-establish stability within the squad.

After leaving Herne Bay, Smith took over as manager of Ramsgate FC, where he enjoyed considerable success. He led Ramsgate to the FA Cup second round for the first time in the club's history, as well as mounting a strong promotion challenge in the Isthmian South East Division, narrowly missing out on the title to Cray Valley and losing in the play-off semi-final to Chichester. Smith departed Ramsgate in June 2024 by mutual consent, leaving on positive terms and expressing admiration for the club and its supporters.
