Bay Vs Sittingbourne

The U14’s took on Sittingbourne at the Kent Vehicles Stadium. After the last two games where the U14’s hadn’t played there best football but had ground out results, they were looking for a much improved performance. Sittingbourne set out their stall to try and stop the Bay from playing. Bay had the first chance of the game in the first minute when Woody Ebrill made a great tackle for Alfie wood to send Devon Mason away on the right hand side only for him to fire wide on the near post.

Bay soon got to grips with the midfield area with Louie Muddiman picking passes and always looking to keep ball moving and with 15 minutes to go in the first half latched onto a hopeful forward pass then twisted and turned in the area before placing a right footed shot past the keeper and into the corner. Sittingbourne had a corner with just over a minute to go in the first half. Bay failed to clear the ball when when the Sittingbourne player helped into the corner past the Jacob Webb in goal for Bay.

Bay started the second half with more intent looking to keep the ball and play the game in the opposition half.

Woody Ebrill raced clear and his left footed shot went past the far post. Shortly after he got his second this time as he went through he rounded the keeper and placed it into the empty net for 2 - 1. Woody soon completed his Hat-Trick when he latched onto another through ball, out powering the defence and placing his shot past the keeper for 3 -1. Some of the football that Bay were now playing was fantastic to watch when Aiden Miller playing at right back, played the ball forward down the flank, which looked like as easy take for the keeper when Devon Mason showed his true pace and managed to get in-between the fullback and goal keeper and to shoot into the far corner for 4 -1.

A much improved performance in front of Ben Smith, who was highly impressed with the side. Bay now travel to Ashford for their next game looking to extended their winning streak and maintain their top of the table position.
