There was no midweek match for the first team. In the Isthmian League Division One South East there were three fixtures scheduled, all were postponed because of waterlogged pitches.

The tough fixtures for Herne Bay U23s Development team continued in the SCEFL Development League East, defeated 3-1 in the trip to second placed Maidstone United. Bay remain ninth in the table.

Herne Bay’s next opponents, Beckenham Town, travelled to Phoenix Sports and despite going behind 0-2 and 2-3 managed a 3-3 draw. They stay bottom of the table.

Thanet League Challenge Cup holders Herne Bay Veterans moved forward to the semi-finals with a 5-1 battering of Whitstable Town at the Belmont.
Herne Bay Over 35s stay second in the Thanet & District Veterans League Division Two following a convincing 9-0 beating of Hamstreet at Winch’s Field.

There was a bumper crowd of 578 at Winch’s Field as the first team extended their run to seven wins from their last eight matches with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Beckenham Town. Mike Salako has now scored five goals in the last two games to take his tally for the season to 22 in 25 starts and one substitute appearances.

Herne Bay played just two matches in the Kent Youth League. Both games ended in victory with 12 goals scored and none conceded! The Under 13s won 9-0 at home to Bredhurst Juniors and the Under 15s beat Kennington Juniors 3-0 away. Both teams remain on top of their respective leagues.
