Herne Bay FC's walking football team took part in the Regional First Round of the FA Peoples Cup at Playfootball Gillingham on Saturday 24th February 2018. Despite being without Neil Davey and Davis Gilham "up front" they came out winners defeating Maidstone Staggers in the final by 3 - 0. Their round robin results were as follows. Maidstone Staggers drew 3 - 3, Ebbsfleet United won 5 - 0, Ashford Internationale won 3 - 1 and Bay City Strollers won 3 - 1. In the semi-final Herne Bay played Medway Marauders and ran out winners by 5 - 2. All of the players shared in the goals scored.
