We are extremely delighted that after discussions with Ebbsfleet United we have agreed to a loan deal for the remainder of the season for talented midfielder Mike West.

Mike, aged 31, joined Herne Bay having played over 170 games for Ebbsfleet United since joining them as a 16-year-old and making his first-team debut in 2009. He attracted a lot of interest from Football League clubs after two superb seasons in 2010/11 & 2011/12 and opted to join Crewe Alexandra in League One.

Unfortunately, injuries interrupted Mike’s time at Crewe, and he joined Hereford on loan before returning to Ebbsfleet. Mike then had spells with Whitehawk when they were in the National League South, and Chelmsford City and Eastbourne Borough.

Mike said just now when finding the deal has been approved with the FA and Isthmian League “I’m looking forward to playing at Herne Bay and helping with the play-off push.”

We’d like to thank Ebbsfleet United for their help this afternoon in completing the agreement and necessary paperwork.
