Linesman / Assistant referee required

Linesman / Assistant referee required

Peter Guise31 Jul 2015 - 17:47

Ever fancied a go?

This season, following their 3rd promotion in a row, Herne Bay Ladies are playing in the London & South East Regional Women's Football League. It's just one division away from the Women's Premier League structure.

One of the requirements of the League is that clubs have to supply either a qualified referee to act as an assistant referee / linesman on behalf of the club for both home and away matches or at the very least, if not qualified, the person who runs the line has to have gone through the online training module that gives an appreciation of the laws of the game. The latter will be arranged for you by Herne Bay FC via the Kent FA if you are interested.

It may well be that as a recently qualified referee this could be an opportunity to gain experience. Equally, you may simply want to be part of this developing success story as a volunteer who doesn't necessarily want to go on to be a fully qualified referee or simply wants to use the opportunity to see if you might want to qualify.

Herne Bay FC would be keen to hear from you if you are interested in taking up this appointment. It may well be that a pool of folk may be available to make it less onerous on a single individual.

There will be a small fee paid and transport to away matches will be arranged.

Remember, you don't have to be a currently qualified referee.
