Fisher FC provides the opposition for our opening pre-season friendly the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) side finished 12th last season and will aim to climb the league table next season, the Bay meanwhile will look to start the season strongly after finishing 5th last season before the Coronavirus pandemic prevented the season from finishing.
The Bay come into the game on a good run of form albeit 5 months ago having lost only once in our last seven games. Fisher comes into the game having played 2 pre-season matches already beating Basildon United 1-0 before losing 2-0 to Tooting and Mitcham United with their last game of the 19-20 season 150 days ago being a 2-0 win over Punjab United.
The Bay's management team has used the extended offseason to keep hold of the majority of last seasons squad as well as adding 3 familiar names to the side Raphe Brown, Dan Johnson and Sam Bewick all return to the Bay and are aiming to help the side push on for promotion. Johnson stated on his return to the side that he has unfinished business with the club.
The first team has been training since mid July so come into the game a lot fitter than they usually are at the beginning of the pre-season matches and will look to start pre-season off on the right foot with a win.
