At the end of a good season for Herne Bay Football Club, the Board of Directors are excited to make the following statement:

After a season where we just missed out on the play-offs, Herne Bay Football Club are excited to confirm that our First Team management team of Steve and Mark Lovell are looking forward to building on the exciting start they have made with the club as we go into next season. To achieve what they did with no retained players from the previous season is a remarkable achievement and we are truly thankful to have them.

At Herne Bay FC we really are striving for a "One Club" atmosphere and we are all delighted with the success that we have had in Season 2023-2024, our youth, our Women's, our veterans and our walking football teams have all excelled - and the club are delighted and proud of them all.

Our excellent supporters and their dedication to our club ensured that we made the top three in attendances throughout the season and at times that vociferous support was our 12th man.

The increased attendance in the ground was expertly managed by our team of fabulous volunteers and we thank them all so much.

The management team behind the scenes has been working very hard to ensure that we continue to drive forward all aspects of the club and it is our pleasure to share the following with you all.

Herne Bay Football Club is pleased to announce three new additions to our board of directors.

Firstly, we are joined by Matt Barman who will occupy the previously vacant position of Chairman. Matt has taken the previously vacant seat as Chairman in order to enhance and develop ideas and projects to give the club a more stabilised financial position on and off the field.
He has a great deal of experience not only in football but also in business and his ideas and creative input will help drive Herne Bay Football Club forward. In one of his first acts as Chairman, he has provided a loan that will help stabilise the club after a turbulent year financially.

Secondly, Chloe Gardner who I am sure requires no introduction; her dedication and enthusiasm knows no bounds and her experience and knowledge of the club will ensure we continue to make progress as we push onwards and upwards.

Our third new addition to the board is Jeff Hammond who is a regular supporter and sponsor of the club who will offer some much needed support to the current board who have worked tirelessly over recent years to ensure Herne Bay Football Club remains competitive both on and off the field.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful volunteers, without whom we would not be where we are today.

Finally, we would like to welcome all of the amazing local businesses and individuals to join us on our journey and help us make Herne Bay FC the community club of choice.

The Chairman will be making an additional statement in the coming days.

Regards, Board of Directors
