Herne Bay Football Club is delighted to announce that Mobolaji Dawodu will be rejoining the club after spending time at Faversham Town.
Bola, as he is known to friends and supporters, came through the Faversham Town Under 21 ranks before leaving Salters Lane in January 2017 and then made 12 appearances for Whitstable Town scoring one goal. A summer move to Sittingbourne followed where he then later played for Canterbury City in 2018. In July 2019, Bola joined Herne Bay and played across two disrupted seasons but got himself 38 caps. As we headed into the 21/22 season, Bola took a step back into Faversham before realising that Herne Bay was his home.
“Always a pleasure to pull on a blue shirt. The players and management have created a culture which has put the club in a good position for the business end of the season.
Hopefully I can contribute positively to keep the momentum going to finish the season strong!" - Bola Dawodu
