On Saturday we see the return of the Eddie ‘Titch’ Willett Memorial Shield and a full day of fun, memories and entertainment. There is plenty of time to watch the match, get down and see the carnival, and come back to the Clubhouse for the karaoke charity evening in aid of the Chemotherapy Bag Support Group.

Felixstowe Port & Town and Walton United reunited in 2000 to establish the modern club, Felixstowe & Walton United, taking Port & Town's place in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division.

Felixstowe FC were officially formed in 1890, although there are records of the club dating back to 1888. They were founder members of the Ipswich & District League in 1896. They became Felixstowe Town in 1920 and after World War II the club merged with neighbours Walton United to form Felixstowe United, before reverting to the name Felixstowe Town in 1952. In 1966 they switched to the Essex & Suffolk Border League and were promoted to the Eastern Counties League in 1976

Walton United were established in 1895. In 1922 they were renamed Walton & Felixstowe, before reverting to their original name a year later. In 1947 they merged with Felixstowe Town but were reformed in 1950 and re-joined the Ipswich & District League.

At the end of the 2001/02 season the team finished twenty-first out of twenty-two clubs in the Eastern Counties League Premier Division and were relegated to Division One. They returned to the Premier Division after finishing as runners-up in Division One in 2005/06. In 2016/17 the club were runners-up in the Premier Division. They were runners-up again the following season, earning promotion to the North Division of the Isthmian League. Last campaign, in their first Isthmian season, they ended in 11th place.

The Seasiders are having a mammoth 12 game pre-season and their results have been Colchester United away (lost 1-6), Framlingham Town away (won 3-1), Harwich & Parkston away (lost 1-2), Newmarket away (lost 1-3), Brantham Athletic away (lost 1-3), Woodbridge Town away (lost 3-4), Ipswich Town Under 18s home (drew 1-1), West Ham XI home (won 3-2), Walsham Le Willows away (lost 0-3), Leiston away (lost 1-3) and Cranes Sports home (lost 2-4). Eight defeats, one draw and two victories so far.
