Herne Bay were quick out of the blocks and within the first 5 minutes were 3 0 up. Playing slick but controlled football the half time score of 6 0 reflected the dominance of the team.
Three changes by Herne Bay at half time did little to interrupt their dominance and they eventually ran out comfortable 9 0 winners.
Credit must go to Margate who never gave up in the face of very strong opposition. Scorers were Neal Davey 4,Kevin Marsh 2,Harry Roberts 1 and Steve Rumball opened his account with 2 goals for the Bay!!

Good to see we can win without Browny scoring a goal and nice touch by Danny Kimber to come out in sympathy with him. Kev Marsh has dispelled the rumour that he couldn't score in a Brothel and despite Denly's best efforts by deliberately passing the ball to the opposition the boys managed a clean sheet!! Brilliant to see squad members Dave Pooley and Bob Taylor willing to turn up on the off chance of a game but more than happy to stay and support the team.
