Herne Bay Women have been handed a bye in the extra preliminary round of the 2019/20 season's Women's FA Cup.

A record 300 teams have entered this coming season's premier women's cup competition which was won last season by Manchester City Women in front of a record Cup Final crowd at Wembley.

Herne Bay Women will enter the competition at the preliminary round stage and have been drawn away to Victoire with the match taking place on Sunday 1st September at Victoire's Wallington ground in Surrey. The KO is expected to be 2:00 pm.

Victoire play in the Premier Division of the Greater London Women's Football League which is the same level in the Women's Football pyramid as Herne Bay. Last season, Victoire won 6 and lost 10 out of their 16 league games, finishing 6th in the Premier Division table, scoring 22 goals and conceeding 50 in the process.

Should Herne Bay win through to the 1st Qualifying Round that will be on Sunday 22nd September although the draw for that round has not yet been made.

Manager Peter Whittaker said, "It's an interesting draw and should be a good test for us. They play at the same level as us so it will be down to the performance on the day, as it always is in cup football. But we are looking forward to it and will go there with a positive attitude."
