Bay vs Hawkinge

Bay played newly promoted Hawkinge for the first time and put the game to bed by half time. On the front foot from the start Bay got the opener when a clearance from the home keeper hit James Hatton he reacted well and slotted home for 1-0 it didnt take long for Hatton to get his second, good work from Euan Sallis on the left found Hatton and he slotted the ball past the keeper 2-0 within 10 minutes. Hatton should have completed his hatrick when Cameron Chamberlain was upended in the box but the keeper guessed right and kept out the subsequent penalty. Bay added a Third with a lovely bit of one touch football in midfield Ollie Gallantree laid the ball to Freddie Kemp and his left foot through ball found Sallis in full flow to side foot below the keeper 3-0.Bay were then caught in possession to gift Hawkinge a goal that left Bay Keeper Henry Duley helpless 3-1, Cameron Chamberlain then got in in the goals when a Prince Adu-Boamah cross went through the crowded box and he finished from 8 yards 4-1, Bay's tails were up and the football good when goal of the game came, neat one touch football again found Chamberlain on the right wing and his 30 yrd cross field pass landed straight at the feet of Sallis his first touch set up a rifled finish into the bottom corner 5-1,Sallis then set Chamberlain up from the byline to stroke home his second and put Bay 6-1 up at half time. Bay rung the changes second half with 3 subs this changed the tempo and allowed Hawkinge a bit of possession and with 20 minutes of the second half gone they got their rewards with a goal to make it 6-2, Bay then found another gear and Alfie Greatorex-Smith & Adu-Boamah both had good chances, Chamberlain then rattled the bar with a header before Sallis completed his hatrick with a far post header with 5 minutes to go.7-2 final score.
Excellent first half quick attacking football, second half too many touches and slightly passive with the game won but unbeaten so far, just need to keep it going #COTB
