U14s travel to Hythe

Hythe Town V Herne Bay FC

After last weeks postponed fixture the under 14’s travelled to Hythe looking to maintain their 100% start to the season. Louie Muddiman started well for Bay imposing himself on the game from midfield. Bay took the lead midway through the first half when Woody Ebrill latched on to a through ball and slotted pass the Hythe keeper for his and Bay’s first of the game. Bay then extended the lead when Woody Ebrill pounced on a rebound and a well deserved lead.

When Hythe did create a chance they came up against a in form Jacob Webb in goal for Herne Bay.

The second half started much as the first ended with majority of the play falling too Bay. Bay extended their lead to 3 from a corner when Anthony Simes headed beyond the Hythe keeper. Hythe pulled one back to make the score 1 - 3 to Herne Bay, but before they could look to put Bay under pressure Woody Ebrill latched onto another through ball, rounded the keeper and played the ball into an empty net for 1 - 4 to Herne Bay. Woody had caused nothing but problems for the Hythe defence.

Another win for the Under 14’s who now look forward to a Kent County match this coming Sunday against Tonbridge Wells Angels.
