Late this afternoon Herne Bay agreed to waive the 7 day notice rule and allow Danny Leonard to join Sheppey United. Danny was very popular among the supporters and we are sad to see him go, but we would like to wish him well at his new club.

Manager Ben Smith said on the Supporters Facebook page:-

“Just a note for supporters on transfers....
Danny Leonard has now decided to join Sheppey United for the coming season. An excellent servant to the club throughout his time who we wish all the best for the future. I have been a big admirer of his qualities for some time but we move on and look to the players that are here to step forward.
This has been an ongoing situation this week and we will be announcing an exciting signing at the game tomorrow.
Please wish Danny all the best, he has nothing but great things to say about the football club.”
