This wasn't for the fainthearted. Having run Wasps close the previous Sunday, Herne Bay Ladies might have been forgiven for thinking that they might do likewise seven days later. Player unavailability again scuppered the game plans along with a lucklustre performance diametrically opposed to the spirited display at Winch's Field the previous Sunday. With no regular recognised goalkeeper to call on, manager Rachel Tracy was forced to name herself as the custodian and there were only so many shots her former central defensive minded legs could keep out.
