Not much to say about today’s game except we were totally outclassed and outplayed by a very good Walton Casuals side. Their passing was crisp , accurate and they never allowed Bay to get any foothold in the game. Their attacking prowess was a joy to watch even though we were on the receiving end of a goal blitz.
For the record three up inside the first 22 minutes; a brace from Josh Kelly and one from Joe Hicks. Kelly’s first inside the second minute. Youssef Bamba on the left flank proving a real handful provided the crosses for the first two goals.
The third a back hesader which looped over Ben Hunter. Ben made three very good saves as the half progressed keeping the score at 3-0 at half time.
The second half followed in the same vein. 4-0 on 54 minutes, Kelly fires a low drive from fully 25 yards. Bamba followed up his solo run and shot which Hunter couldn’t hold, to make it 5-0 0n 58. Danny Rumbol and Ben Gorham playing head tennis lose the ball which is swiftly switched across pitch to an unmarked Bamba, who smashed the ball home 6-0, 62minutes and then to round off a calamitous afternoon Gorham passes back to an out of position Hunter who was unable to stop it rolling over the line. 7-0
Bay had two meaningful shots on target in the whole game; the first in the 60th minute from Tom Carlton and the other Miles Cornwell in the 85th.
The only good performance on the day came from Simon Kabamba never stopped working and did manage to prevent the very dangerous Bamba making any further lighting runs down the flanks
