U13s take on Canterbury city

After a couple of weeks without a game the Under 13's travelled to Canterbury City.

Herne Bay started well scoring in the 1st minute with Woody Ebrill heading in from a Devon Mason centre. Bay continued to press not giving Canterbury any chance to get a hold in the game. Bay's second followed soon after with a some flowing football and a centre from Devon Mason but for this time James Williams who was coming in at the back post to place the ball into an unprotected net. James Williams then scored his second and Herne Bay's third before half time.

Second half Canterbury scored early to pull one back and then with a chance to pull back a second Tom Roberts pulled of a great save pushing a good effort on goal onto the crossbar. Herne Bay then once again got in there flow with the midfield taking control of game and starting some excellent passing moves. Woody EBrill scored his second and taking the score to 1-5 to Herne Bay. Defensively Herne Bay looked strong and never looked like conceding again while go forward the midfield and forward line created chance after chance and if it was not for some good saves from the Canterbury keeper Herne Bay would have added to the scoreline before Luke Harvey finished from close range to make it 6 for Herne Bay.

A great performance and a well deserved result.
