Match Report

The Sallis Show rolls On !!!

On a frosty but sunny morning in Sheppey Euan Sallis bagged his second Hatrick in as many games.
Bay started very bright with neat quick passing and opened the scoring in four minutes, Ollie Gallantree fizzed a ball into Sallis and his first touch took him clear of the defender the second was a left foot finish past the onrushing keeper 1-0 Bay.
Gallantree raced clear 2 minutes later but his right foot shot rolled the just the wrong side of the post. Bay were in control for 15 minutes with some good moves but couldn't increase the scoreline, Feddie Kemp at the heart of things.Sheppey slowly started to find their feet and Bay keeper Henry Duley pulled off a superb left handed save from a 25 yard effort destined for the top corner ( great save lad )..Alfie Greatorex-Smith then found himself clear at the other end a minute later but the home keeper smothered the Ball.Sheppey equalised just before the break,a corner was whipped in Duley saved the first attempt but Sheppey No 9 made no mistake from a yard out 1-1 at the break.
Bay upped their game at the start of the second half Joe Theze ( C ) sitting in midfield was making things tick and Freddie Kemp was dictating play and within 5 minutes Bay got a corner from the left, Theze swung the ball in near post and Ellis Sharman reacted the quickest, his header hitting a defender and then the back of the net ( dubious goal panel gave it to Ellis as it was on target ) 2-1 Bay, Keeper Duley then got an assist his long raking ball found Sallis on the right hand side of the area and Euan unleashed a volley with the outside of his left foot which left the keeper standing as it dropped into the far corner ( with a round of applause from everyone watching ) 3-1 Bay. Freddie Kemp was unplayable in the middle of the park and come through a couple of rash challenges before feeding Smith on the left his ball was controlled by Cameron Chamberlain who lobbed a lovely ball into the path of the ever alert Sallis and from 12 yards he smashed another left foot volley into the roof of the net to complete his Hatrick and put Bay a commanding 4-1 in front. Bay with Max Hyde, Myles McDonald and Alex Redman at the back kept Sheppey to Only one chance second half which Duley saved at the feet Sheppey No 11. Then Chamberlain could of made it five when Sallis crossed from the right but the home keeper kept out Chamberlain's right foot drive to keep the score down and final result an excellent 4-1 to the Bay.
Bay now move on to a home match v Dover next Sunday 10.30am kick off at Herne Bay High School ( all support welcome)
