U15s at Sittingbourne

Herne Bay Under 15's travelled to Sittingbourne with confidence after their good start in the League and made easy work of their opponents
On a very small pitch Bay started the scoring within 5 minutes when Cameron Chamberlain's cross aimed at Eaun Sallis was turned into his own net by Sittinbourne's central defender 1-0, Goal number two followed shortly after the same two Bay players combined this time Sallis found the top right hand corner with a cultured effort.Bay were trying to combat the pitch and kept Sittingbourne pinned back with relentless pressure but the home Keeper kept Bourne in the game with numerous saves until close to half time when Prince Adu-Boamah's skill found Chamberlain his first shot was parried by the keeper but the rebound was rammed into the roof of the net for 3-0. Bay made a couple of changes with Ollie Gallantree replacing Chamberlain up top and Ellis Sharman slotting into midfield to replace the calm Lewis Douglas, Henry Duley in the Bay goal was a bystander as Bay kept pushing forward but settled for 3-0 at half time. Alfie Greatorex-Smith replaced Freddie Kemp at the break and was straight into the action down the left when his ball into the box was cleared to the waiting James Hatton and from 25yrds his shot just beat the keeper to make it 4-0. Unfortunately in attempting to make the save Bourne's keeper landed awkwardly and had to be replaced.Bay took full advantage with Gallantree and Sallis linking up down the left and as the cross come in Prince Adu-Boamah connected sweetly with a side foot volley into the top right hand corner 5-0 Sallis then used his pace down the left and smashed a cross across the goal mouth for the Bourne defender chasing back to knock it over the line 6-0. Bay made a couple more changes and move of the match came from a Max Hyde long Throw near the half way line Chamberlain flicked the ball on with his head and Sallis raced through to slide the ball left footed past the out rushing keeper 7-0...Sallis then had opportunity to complete his hatrick when he brought down a lovely Hyde free kick Marcelo style but he hit his shot well wide of the target Bay's Eighth goal came from a superbly floated free kick from Eliseo Sand-Romero, Ellis Sharman went up for the header but it rebounded off the defender for their third own goal of the match. Joe Theze was working well in the middle and he picked out Prince Adu-Boamah on the right Prince raced past two defenders to slot the ball into the opposite corner giving the keeper no chance and 9-0.Bay's tenth was a thing of beauty, Smith and Kemp with a few one two's down the left ended up at the feet of Bay's central defender Finlay McGrath after a rebound he found himself rounding the keeper and nonchalantly rolled the ball over the line ( with a celebration to match anyone's )...Bay had a minute or two left to get the 11th goal of the game when Sallis crossed from the left and Chamberlain headed in from close range..11-0 final score..bit one sided and not much of a test for the boy's but fair play to Sittingbourne they dug in and attempted to play and the keeper getting injured didn't help them ( hopefully he's alright )
Tougher test away to Bredhurst next week after drawing 2-2 with them a couple of weeks ago..On we roll #COTB
