Match Report U15s

Dover steal Bay's Thunder !!

With the last game of U15's season played at Winches Field in front of a reasonably good crowd Bay started off very jittery at the back with a few miss kicks in the first 5 minutes, This got Dover's heads up and they were ahead on 15 minutes with a low strike giving keeper Henry Duley no chance, Bay then started to get in the game with captain Freddie Kemp at the heart of most attacks and Prince Adu-Boamah making waves down the right, Bay's best chance came from a corner James Hatton with the cross but Euan Sallis couldn't make his header count, Max Hyde then had a free header from an Ollie Gallantree cross but guided it just past the post,Bay now had most of the play and equalised when Cameron Chamberlain controlled a ball on half way and put in a lovely ball that Alfie Greatorex-Smith stroked home with his right foot 1-1. With the half coming to a close Bay gave the ball away at the edge of their penalty box,Dover worked it wide left and the cross found Dover striker Lewis Saunders unmarked to head home 2-1 Dover Half time. Bay had to get back into the match and the breakthrough came when Gallantree found Chamberlain on the edge of the box he turned and fired his shot into the bottom left hand corner 2-2. Dover then looked for a third but a last gasp tackle by Eliseo Sands-Romero thwarted their busy no7, with the game even Prince Adu-Boamah beat his defender and was tripped in the box but no penalty awarded, this proved costly as up the other end a shoulder barge was deemed a penalty and Dover took a 3-2 lead from the spot, the last 10 mins was all Bay with Gallantree and Myles McDonald both having shots well saved and Chamberlain a header which was tipped over the bar by the in form keeper.
This was the last action of a match which from Bay's point of view was a below par performance but that's football.
We will bounce back stronger next season when we move up to U16's.

We finished our first season 5th in a tough Kent league which everybody can be proud of and we now know what we have to do next year to get into a top 3 spot

We would like to thank all the players for their effort this year and also parents alike for braving some tough matches & weather to boot..Also Alex's mum for doing the food & Barry Sallis for running the line..Thanks from Anthony, Roy & Andy
