Take on Kennington

Bay under 15's are having to weather the storm and the Christmas break has come at a good time football wise
After Losing 3-2 in the Kent cup to Kennington 2 weeks earlier Bay knew their opponents well and got off to a great start when Freddie Kemp was brought down, Ollie Gallantree stepped up and hit a great free kick into a crowded box, Cameron Chamberlain climbed the highest with a deft header over the onrushing keeper 1-0 after 5 mins. As in the previous cup match Kennington equalised within a few minutes,Bay only cleared to the edge of the box and Their No 9 headed past Bay keeper Henry Duley 1-1. Bay again put pressure on their opponents and went ahead when a great flick on from Gallantree found Euan Sallis on the left he drove a fierce low shot which the keeper could only parry out to Prince Adu-Boamah who calmly slotted away with his left foot 2-1. Bay.
Bay then hit the self destruct button for a few costly minutes and conceded three goals the first a cross which was missed by everyone except No9 again,The second a similar cross again reactions were slow and Their No10 slotted the ball away and the fourth Eliseo Sands Romero tripping their No9 who gladly got his hatrick from the spot to leave a despondent Bay 4-2 at the break. Bay had a lot to make up second half and struggled to create any opportunities apart from a Chamberlain left foot drive the keeper held and a Gallantree shot which flew over the bar, Bay's Defence were much better 2nd half Sands-Romero ,Myles McDonald and Alex Redman all improved and pushed Bay forward unfortunately Kennington caught Bay on a counter and a loose ball from McDonald, was finished well to make the final score 2-5... Bay Man of the Match by long way was Finley McGrath who showed grit and determination from the start and also a mention for Myles McDonald who completed a full match after breaking his collar bone a few months earlier in a nasty bike accident ( well done )...That's it now until January 6th 2019 when we play again and the Boy's have an escape room bonding session booked early in Jan to look forward to ...So from Anthony Sands, Roy Dayes and Myself Andy Chamberlain and All of the Bay U15 Squad we wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year #WEWILLCOMEBACKSTRONGER #COTB
