Herne Bay skipper Danny Walder has signed on a dual registration basis for SCEFL promotion hopefuls Sheppey United. Walder is currently in his second spell with Herne Bay and took over the captaincy this season from Liam Quinn.

Walder is expected to slot straight into the Sheppey squad but will remain available for selection by Sam Denly as Herne Bay have retained his step 4 registration.

Bay manager Sam Denly said, "I'm naturally disappointed that Danny is leaving us but unfortunately he has been struggling with commitments so signing for his local side will mean he can play most games for them between now and the end of the season. I wish him well".
