Sam Denly has moved quickly to add to his squad following the signing last week of Taser Hassan. Experienced striker Ian Pulman is the latest addition to Sam Denly's squad as Bay strive to climb the table.

Striker Ian Pulman was at Chelsea as a youngster, writes Steve Barton, and then played for Margate in the conference, albeit with a number of loans. Pulman joined Ramsgate for a spell in 2005/06 and then played in the US and professionally in Australia. 'Pully' returned to England and signed for Whitstable Town, scoring 71 goals in 136 appearances at The Belmont. At the start of 2011/12 he opted for Conference football with Eastbourne Borough before returning to Ramsgate mid-campaign for the remainder of the season. After returning to Whitstable again at the start of 2012/13, the striker re-joined the Rams for a 3rd spell a month later. He stayed with Ramsgate for 2013/14, netting 28 times, then had another spell at Whitstable (26 goals), before returning to Southwood for 2015/16. Pulman was injured pre-season 2016/17 and after making one first team appearance for Ramsgate went on loan to Whitstable Town and after two appearances moved on to Canterbury City to get some much-needed match fitness. After scoring six times in five games he has made a permanent move to Herne Bay.

"I don't think it's a surprise for anyone to learn that I've wanted to bring Pully to Winch's for sometime", said Herne Bay manager Sam Denly, "he is a renowned striker and I'm looking forward to working with him and to him striking up a scoring partnership with our existing front line".
