This was Herne Bay’s worst performance this season with only two highlights coming from the game; Tom Carlton’s wonder strike from 20 yards which gave Vickers keeper, Joe Mant no chance and the performance by Simon Kabamba, who thoroughly deserved the supporters man of the match award.
Charlie McDonald led the goal fest with four goals inside the first 36 minutes. Tom’s goal
followed four minutes later in what was Bay’s only really good spell of play in the whole game. Alastair Gordon restored the four goal lead before the half time whistle.
The second half was no better and a brace from Ali Fuseini stretched Vickers lead.
It could have been a lot worse but for three very good saves from Jordan Beeney in the last 10 minutes.
A reoccurrence of Alex Mulrooney-Skinner’s back injury forced a change after 24 minutes but what is more worrying is this may put Alex out for the rest of the season.
This was a very embarrassing performance which left the supporters fuming. It will be
interesting to see how John & Jermaine will turn around the teams fortunes in the coming weeks.
