Sam Denly has announced that he will be stepping down from his position as manager of Herne Bay Football Club after the final game of the season against Whyteleafe on Saturday.

Denly has been in charge of the Ryman League One (South) side for four years and took his team to within touching distance of the play-offs in 2015/16. He gave an exclusive interview to Radio Cabin 94.6FM at lunchtime today (Wednesday) in which he said that it had been one of the hardest decisions he had had to make and he was very proud at being given the chance to mager at Herne Bay and proud of what had been achieved.
