A message from Ron Boddy & The Directors

The position is that the club, through it's management team, continues to seek a suitable replacement striker.
- Ron Boddy

To members of the 12th Man Society,

First of all can we sincerely apologise for the delay that there has been in commenting on the position of the 12th Man Society following the departure of Stuart Zanone from the club. This has been purely down to other significant time demands in respect of club business, and other non-club business. It is fully understood that the 12th Man Society was set up with the intention of providing funds to enable the club to obtain a suitable striker for the team that could provide a significant goal output over the season. It was hoped that Stuart Zanone would be that signing, however it did not work out as hoped, and the decision was that he should leave the club. The position is that the club, through it's management team, continues to seek a suitable replacement striker. However it is proving very difficult to identify, and obtain someone, at a level that is acceptable to the club, even with the support of the 12th Man Society.

The income that has been received over recent weeks from the 12th Man Society has therefore been used to bolster the weekly budget for the rest of the team, The club greatly appreciates the support of the members of the 12th Man Society and hope that this will continue into the future, with the team as it presently stands, and hopefully with a new striker should we be able to obtain a suitable replacement for Stuart Zanone.

With best regards,

The Directors,
Herne Bay Football Club CIC
